Jambu Air and Durians

What's with big trees along a river? Everything ... On top of all, they are fruit trees. Have you seen these before? I guess not! Unless you live on the tropical side.

Malaysian call it 'Jambu Air'. Air is water. Why? One bite and you'll know why ... Yup, the fruit is very juicy - lots of water inside. And sweet. Very delicious. Thirst quenching ...

Get a closer look at them. The fruits are red and beautiful. Inviting ...
They are all over the area. Wherever you look, they are there ... Seriously! And when you walk, you are bound to step onto the fruits .. so many of them on the ground.
And these gigantic trees? Nope, you've never seen them before either! And again, unless you live on the tropical side ... There's no fruit yet but they'll be there .. soon!
They are durians. Tasty but it's hard to believe that some people just can't bear the taste and smell. Hmmm .. I wonder why! I love the taste. I love the smell.

A Green University

I went to Shah Alam to register my daughter into a local university. UiTM is a very beautiful place ... very green, too!

These pergola with 'bunga kertas' attracted my attention the moment I set my eyes on it. Lovely!

It was a busy day at UiTM, so it was practically impossible to snap the pergola without capturing people as well. Oh, well ...

Exotic! Aahhhh ... oohhhhhhhh ...

Can you see that? Among the green long leaves ... Those are the sights we want to see all year long. Sights that surely make a heart skips a beat.How about these? Oh wow ... oh wow ... Emmpphhh ... I don't have to say anything here, do I? The picture does the whole talking.

Bunga Bakung

Mom calls this 'bunga bakung'. I think it might be from iris family. I could be wrong ... Hiks, can you see the tiny bee in the pic below?The leaves look like lilly leaves ...
They are beautiful, right?
The long stamens make it somewhat stands out from the rest of the other blooms.
Have anyone seen these blooms before? Are they iris?
